South Bend, IN. June 26 — Stay Metrics, the leading provider of driver retention tools for motor carriers, announces the next entry in its Success Metrics case studies series with Ag Trucking’s story of finding success through driver surveys.

The study shares how Ag Trucking reduced turnover by 16.1% while growing their driver count by 11% over a period of 20 months. Today they are in the rare position of being “full on drivers.”

Reaching this point took a lot of hard work. The case study details how the Annual Driver Satisfaction Survey conducted when Ag Trucking first became a Stay Metrics client identified equipment as a critical area for improvement in the company.

Stay Metrics’ Annual Driver Satisfaction Survey is one of several retention tools offered by the firm that help carriers understand the voice of their drivers and recognize them for their hard work. This particular survey is an anonymous survey administered to the entire fleet to find drivers’ levels of satisfaction in a wide variety of aspects of the job, including equipment.

The company’s efforts to improve drivers’ satisfaction with their trucks was aided not only by the survey programs offered by Stay Metrics but also its rewards website. The site allowed Ag Trucking to build driver engagement and investment in the new truck program and other company initiatives.

Over the 20-month period covered in the study, Ag Trucking reduced its average truck age from 5 years to 2 years. Driver satisfaction with the tractors went up in the first year and has stayed high through subsequent surveys.

“Stay Metrics has been a good partner and a key component of us reducing our turnover and increasing our driver count,” says Casey Stump, Vice President at Ag Trucking.

Stay Metrics CEO Tim Hindes agrees that the partnership between the two companies is a great one:

“We love working with Ag Trucking. They know how to take survey results and turn them into real, solid strategic goals. Not only that, they can make them happen. They get it, and they’re getting results that prove it.”

The full case study is available to anyone at no cost on the Stay Metrics website. Besides the topics mentioned above, it also mentions how Ag Trucking uses the Stay Metrics driver rewards platform in unique ways and other areas they saw improvement in driver satisfaction scores.

Carriers featured in past Success Metrics case studies have been Load One, Liquid Trucking, Brady Trucking, and Usher Transport.
